Kilimanjaro Challenge - The Team

In February 2011, Mark Powis, Paul Findlay, Gareth Roberts and Mark Nicholas are taking on a huge challenge in order to raise £50 000 for two charities, Help Autistic Children and Disability Challengers.

The Challenge

Mt Kilimanjaro is the world’s highest free standing, snow covered equatorial mountain – standing at 6km high. The team are taking on the massive challenge of getting from the base camp to the top in 7 days. The altitude, low temperatures, and occasional high winds make this a difficult and dangerous trek. Acclimatisation is essential with most people suffering from some degree of altitude sickness which frequently results in an inability to reach the summit.

The team are sponsoring their own travel to Tanzania so 100% of the money raised will go directly to the two charities.

Please support the team in taking on this amazing feat by donating to the Killimanjaro Challenge.
